Bryan Acheampong (Member of Parliament)
Bryan Acheampong was born on the 27th of November 1972 in Suhum in the Eastern part of Ghana and hails from Nkawtia in the Kwahu East District. After completing His elementary school education in Suhum and some part in England and Italy he moved down to Ghana. He continued his middle, secondary and A ‘Level education in Accra at the Achimota Primary school and Presbyterian Boys secondary school (PRESEC).
Bryan Acheampong graduated from the Johnson and Wilson University in the United States of America with a bachelor’s degree. He is currently undertaking his MBA in Business Administration with the same University.
He served as a volunteer for the orphanage home called Tom-ni in Kwahu Obomi immediately after national service. There, he was concerned with the welfare of the kids by managing their food, shelter and accommodation issues. His charisma and the will to do good led him to become an exemplary leader in this establishment.
Bryan Acheampong is a versatile person with great passion to pursue new interest in the world of business. He is a leader who always advocates that the only way of achieving a dream, is to work with discipline, determination, dedication, enthusiasm and hard work.
He learnt to believe in himself throughout his service in the US Military, this positive attitude empowered him to start his own business. He has done well for himself by building businesses in I.T, hospitality, real estate, education and general logistic rentals and aspire to do more in the coming years.
Bryan believes in the development of people and always went all-out to put others first. Over a period, this gave him the urge to help and serve others. His service to Okwahuman was revealed through his unity he brought through sports, communal labour and the gift of providing for others.
It dawned on him that the only way to impact the lives of others was to be a part of the development of those people and that is when he decided to stand for elections in his hometown.
He was first elected in the by-election on July 16th 2016 on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with a majority of 14,015 votes. He is a Member of Parliament for the Abetifi Constituency in the Kwahu East District. it is currently in a clean bill of health after he was elected with an overwhelming majority vote of 23,432 representing 74.61% in the 2016 general elections.
He was appointed and sworn in as the Minister of State, Office of the Presidency on 4th April 2017.
In persistence Bryan continues to serve with humility and pleasure to promote the development of his constituency and of Mother Ghana.
